Stu has recorded many albums throughout the years - sometimes playing impossible bass parts, other times just thumping out eigth notes. His solo work and his work with Frank Gambale and Steve Smith showcase some of his virtuoso skills, whereas his worth with Joe Satriani just shows that he can hold a nice goove. Sometimes listening at first you are like "hmm, that bass line seems simple.. " but then you listen again or again and start noticing things about this. This is very present on some of Steve Vai's work. (It was a long time before I noticed how good the bass was on Passion & Warfare!) Anyway, enjoy.
